There are multiple entries to drop... Not just the tgz but also the upgrade directory and its contents.

Where can I get a list of the files and directories that I need to delete? Are they all located in the .kobo directory?

PS: Toronto is a skip, a jump, and a 1 hour drive from me. Howdy neighbour.

There is 1 directory and 2 files that may be present.

The directory is upgrade which can contain kernel upgrades.

The files are KoboRoot.tgz and manifest.md5sum.

Not all firmware packages have the upgrades directory -- the original Touch models that use Mark 3 firmware have not had an upgrades directory since the 2.6.1 update.

Regards,
David

Thanks David. I tried it again today (delete koboroot.tgz) and it worked. Currently running v1.9.16. Let us see now how the touch responds. After the first time I deleted the koboroot.tgz file it got copied over again. I am guess since I was still connected to Kobo Desktop. This time I was faster.

Thanks for all the help.
