And remember, ignore the people who say you need to use an SD card to stare your content. You've got 512meg, plenty of ram to store on internal memory.

There is a reason to use SD card instead of internal flash memory; internal memory is not replaceable and susceptible to failure that'd render the device useless. There is the memory wear as well to consider but it doesn't affect it that much providing that for e-books the content doesn't change often.

I honestly don't think that "wearing out the memory" is a reason not to use it . You're right, in that flash memory does have a theoretical number of "cycles" it'll work for, but it's such a large number that there's no way you could ever reach it in practice.

It's here! Talk about fast!
Charging up just now so have spent the last couple of hours subscribing to sites, downloading free books and setting up wish lists!
Will no doubt be on the Cybook thread fairly frequently over the next while with lots of daft questions and queries so brace yourselves and thanks in advance!
(Cookies all round!)

First one already:
Do the red lights (on USB charger and actual device) change or go out when it's fully charged? It's been plugged in for a while now......

It will eventually. I've seen it sometimes hit 100% but not have the light go out for another 20 minutes - sometimes.
