But of course the AURA HD is top of the line. Best display in my stable. |

I never mentioned that I was looking for an Aura HD that's 6" big... What we were talking about is it's size compared to most eReaders, mostly with the Glo. |

The trouble is that you cannot compare 6.8" model with 6" model. The nature of the 6" model is that it IS 6", the nature of the 6.8" model is that IS 6.8". apples and oranges. 6.8 is obviously bigger then 6. cut the paper to glo size - 114 x 157 (4.5 x 6.2 x 0.4 in) and then cut the paper to a aura HD size - 128.3 x 175.7 (6.91 x 5.05 x 0.46 in) and you will see the difference. Thickness difference is 0.06" - so Aura HD is 1.7 mm thicker then glo, so that difference is in my opinion completely irrelevant. Not to mention high resolution screen and other advantages... for example you get almost 25% more text on the screen
That being said, arguing about size has no sense at all. Having a 6" device my self together with 6.8" i feel that it is more comfortable to hold 6.8 device then 6" device, in my opinion 6" device is too small. Last edited by forster01; 08-15-2014 at 07:37 PM. |

And there is a point in comparing a 6" and a 6.8" reader. Some might find it too big, and some will see it as the perfect size. And that "it only has 1.7mm thicker" means nothing if the device has bad ergonomics (which I'm not saying it does). |

Well, for what it's worth, thicker is generally better for ergonomics (up to a point), not worse. Most people would find it easier to pinch-hold a somewhat thicker device than a very thin one.
