I don't get it, how can it be for an adult audience when the story is about learning that there are limits to be learned in life. i.e. that we can't expect everything to be handed to us just because we want it. That's a lesson that children learn as they grow up.

Not everybody learns that.
It can be argued that few actually do.

Plenty of threads around here offer evidence.

But that cover's not going to help.

I think this cover is horrible. To be more representative I would rather see Charlie and Willy Wonka on the cover. Penguin also has come out with a series of covers for classics that have comic book art. Some of those are rather atrocious too!

Once you strip the DRM, you can then replace the cover with one of the other covers you like.
