I may have been mistaken but that mistake was also predicated on the wording of the post. It was still the 2nd and the op said that it was 'today.' And then when I clicked on the link the books were $8.99 not $2.99 so I assumed from the way the post was written that it was for 8/2/14 not 8/3/14. I think that's one reason we should always include the date of such deals in the header so that we avoid that confusion. I don't remember seeing the 8/3 in the header when it was posted originally. Could I have missed it due to the late hr? Maybe, or perhaps the header was edited later. I can't say either way.

Time zones also play a part. What's today in one location can be yesterday or tomorrow in another.

I'm sure you aren't alone. It's a primate quirk to forget stuff. I know when I've posted books to the Library here at MR I've sometimes messed up on some of the info. and had to go back to edit it.
