So what if recommendations aren't spot-on? I already know the authors and titles already in my comfort zone, so I'm happy to see an offbeat recommendation that leads me to a book I wouldn't otherwise have found. Other times the recommendations are clearly so far off that I just ignore them.

They don't have to be spot-on, but it would be logical to at least exclude the books that are in the buyer's account already. It's idiocy to offer me a book that I've actually bought a day or two before.
