Please explain to me how the choice of charger could result in a rebooting loop. Seriously - please explain it.

Mine stopped the reboot loop if it was plugged in so the charger actually helped fix the reboot loop.

That suggests it's a battery issue; not (as claimed) that the charger is the cause of the problem.

Sounds right to me. I have had the same experience as Purple Lady - with two T68s. Connecting the T68 to the charger was the only way to stop the boot loops. So, how could the charger be the problem?

Either the power getting to the T68 is enough for it to take and send to the battery or it's not. There is no middle ground. I can charge my iPad 1 using the iPad charger or the iPhone charger, Granted that using the iPhone charger will take longer because the amperage going to the iPad is less. But the iPad will accept it and charge.

On my wife's iPad 3, the iPad actually says not charging when used with a charger that's not got enough output like the USB port of most computers.

My T1 will charge with the Sony wall wart, the nook wall wart, the iPhone wall wart, and the iPad wall wart. But with the Apple wall warts, I do have to use my special charging cable.

Power is power. Either it's enough for the T68 to accept or it's not. If the T68 shows it's charging and you do see the battery meter at a higher value when you unplug the charging cable, then the wall wart is good enough to charge it. If it's not, it won't show charging and the battery meter will not increase. This fallacy that the bootloop is caused by the charger is garbage. Most likely it's caused by a faulty battery giving the T68 false reading.

Precisely. It's nonsense to suggest that the charger is the cause of the problem.

I have never experienced the bootloop problem. But I have downloaded and installed the last update (c3193d0 , 26th July 2014), and I have started to worry about it.

Do you have experienced problems like these after the update? I know that I am worrying before time, but T68 is not a secure and precise work of engineering, although I am enjoying it a lot because of all its android extras...

thanks in advance

From my experience, the update will make no difference, one way or the other, when it comes to boot loops. If you don't have the problem, the update won't cause it. If you have the problem, the update won't fix it. The update should help the touchscreen accuracy issues that some people have, though.

I was putting it gently when I said this probably isn't a charger problem - it absolutely isn't. It's either a firmware problem or, less likely, a hardware problem. Aceflor - with all due respect you're spouting nonsense.

Can we stop talking about defective chargers now?

This and minimum brightness issue need to be addressed. I think we should start e-mailing Onyx to get them to acknowledge the issue.

I was just reporting somehting I had read. But why don't you just get personal and insult me ? If you check the board, and my messages in general, you would see that I am 1. not a complete idiot, and 2. aiming to help.

I will leave this thread now and wish you all the luck with your T68.

PS: because Wolf and Harry are rude does not mean everyone else has to be.

Hey, there's a reason why I prefaced that comment with "with all due respect". I'm sure your intention was to be helpful, and that's great. I really wasn't trying to be an asshole. That said, from a technical point of view, there's absolutely no reason for the USB cable to cause the bootloops, as confirmed by the experiences of other users. Repeatedly suggesting it as the cause is not productive towards getting this issue fixed.

This is an important issue, especially seeing as this device is not getting much exposure outside of this forum.

Mine started having this problem at 30% and worked it's way to 50% when I returned it.

I'm thinking it could be a bad batch of batteries used in the T68.
