That's one thing I would like - the ability to see the page numbers as seen on the Glo (I keep a column for them and page count isn't even close) and they ability to see how a particular book tweak will look on the Glo. Having to transfer backwards and forwards between devices is a pain (IMO) Thx for the comments
You might have misunderstood me plus I didn't go into detail. Kepubs have page numbering per chapter in the books. Each new chapter, the page numbers start from one. Plus they show the number of pages in the chapter. But, the number of pages are actually how many screens worth of text there is. This changes with the font, font size, line spacing and margins selected on the device. Some people love it, some hate it. All the Kobo kepub readers apps do this.

The ADE page numbering is based on the size of the compressed files in the epub divided by 1024. When reading, the pages are calculated in each file from this. That means that the size of pages is not necessarily consistent through the book. But, they are consistent across the readers and apps that implement this. That means all readers and apps the use the Adobe RMSDK. It also means that how many times you need to tap the screen before the page number changes is dependent on the font, font size, line spacing and margins selected on the device. Again, some people love it, some hate it.

As to a page count in calibre, I use the Page Count plugin. It has various options for how to do the calculation. One of these is the ADE method. Whenever I have compared what this calculates against what my Glo shows, they have been very close. I have just checked three books, and Count pages calculated the same number of pages as opening the books on the Glo.

It isn't Android. The Kobo e-ink devices run a Linux with a custom application as the UI. They boot straight to this application and everything happens inside that.

I'll have to switch the way it calculates and give it a trial. Thx for the help. Always appreciated.

Update: Just tried this on numerous books using the ADE calc and it returned the same as the Glo. Very plesaed. Thx very much.
