M92 stylus stopped working all of a sudden.

Hi Booxtor, could you help me out pls?

i've got a similar problem as the thread starter, only difference: it's my M92.

The stylus just stopped working all of a sudden and I tried the following things already:

  • replaced the old stylus; with of course a compatible one
  • flashed the kernel with Mfgtools-Rel-11.10.19_ER_MX50_UPDATER
  • reinstalled the newest Boxtor-Update (update-20131204.zip)
  • unplugged the battery & reseted system

Despite all that - the stylus function is still not working at all... no sign of life.

Could it be a hardware defect?

it is really strange.

@ebOOker : try to take away the stylus from the screen for a while and retry to write. This is a known bug with the M92.

yes, i tried not with the original, but with a compatible one from Pocketbook.
I have proof that it works on the M92, because a fellow of mine has the same one. so without any doubt my device doesn't respond to any compatible stylus anymore... but I cannot explain why, everything else works as it should be....

anyone with the same problem?

Unhappy N96 ml stylus problem!

Hi Booxtor. I have onyx n96ml. I did stylus calibration accidentally and lost the screen navigation. I cannot navigate the screen properly. When I tab the screen with stylus, another part of the screen responses so I cannot reach the calibration settings anymore. Could you please help me?

Have you tried to use the buttons to move and select the calibration tools ?

Hi,
If you have lost your calibration the only way to fix it is to recover to factory settings.
Try following:
1. power off your device
2. hold Back button pressed and press power button. Keep pressing them until you se the boox system recovery window. Navigate using <> buttons to "wipe data/factory reset" and use power button to confirm.

After rebooting the stylus touch control must be available again

Thanks for message. I tried what you said but nothing changed. Meanwhile, every time I do ''wipe data/factory reset'' my older books came to the main screen. They cannot be removed. I think I should be erase all data from the device but I don't know how to do. Thanks again.
