Here's a tip that requires that you own two Kobo readers, but it is totally worth it: Want to read in the dark? Just turn on the second Kobos ComfortLight and use it as a light source!

If you want to be able to use your Kobo to level a table for a long time, don't forget to use the official Kobo case.

when it's 42* outside, and your Kobo starts rebooting because it's overheated, it will enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool just as much as you do.

When it's 42* here the only people looking to take a refreshing dip are members of the Polar Bear Club. I suspect you mean 42C...
Remember that prefreezing your Kobo can help prevent those pesky overheating issues. Likewise, preheating by leaving it in your toaster oven during breakfast can be a good way to prepare it to combat particularly brisk winter days. |

Here's a design improvement suggestion for the Gecko case people.
Using a stronger magnet will allow the device to be attached to the refrigerator door. |

Remember that you should never put your old chewing gum on your Kobo - that's just plain silly!
If, like me however, you frequently fall asleep on your side while chewing gum and reading, and then wake up in the morning with blotchy chewing gum globs glorbed all over your beloved Kobo, a quick trip of 10 hours in the freezer will remove the gum, as long as you are careful in your use of the ice pick that is needed to pry away the frozen globs of gum. After removal, a warm rinse in sudsy water should bring things back to normal. If not, remember that your Kobo will be very clean. |

I'm almost embarrassed to say this, so I will: I once mistook my white Kobo for a Pop Tart. Imagine, if you can, the moment I had to tell my dentist the reason for my cracked front tooth. |

Drib,
You'd best switch to the Chocolate Fudge poptarts to limit confusion... however, your dentist will likely remain dismayed. |

To stay on the candy topic: Sticking liquorice sticks round the edges of your Kobo will provide shock protection as well as emergency comfort food for heavy reading.

Am I the only one anticipating the first picture of a Kobo wrapped in string licorice?
If I started a company to sell licorice e-reader covers, I wonder if I could get away with the "Mind Candy" brand name? |
