Thanks all for the discussion! I've been off this weekend, but nevertheless continued poking around, and the strange thing is that, once having set the margin-top (by px or em or whatever), it was impossible to evoke a change in the book by trying to set the css code lower. I tried it with another book, and it was the same experience, and even setting simply "margin: 1 0" didn't work.
In fact, on the device the paragraphs appear with a space that's too large. I can live with it, but the effect is strange. |
