I'm waiting for T-Mobile to get the G3 so I can see in person how wide and long the screen is. I read that phone isn't bigger than the GS5 but that the bezel is much thinner, allowing for the bigger screen.
There are a lot of things I like about the Note 3 (handwriting!!) but I just can't get past the size. It's great for reading, browsing, writing, etc, but it just seems way too big for a phone, which is kind of its primary purpose! But I have been seriously tempted.

btw, I just noticed you are in NW Ohio. ::waves:: I moved to Columbus about a year ago and really like it. Especially the library ebook collections.

I've been tempted too, but then my current phone seems to end up being a phone second, or third. I do more texting and running of apps than I do using it for actual phone calls.

I dithered over the Note 3 for a while due to the same reason. The size of the thing! After spending an age reading the reviews and not finding anything else out there that met my needs, I took the plunge and bought it. After owning a Note 3 for around 3mths now, I can honestly say I don't notice the size of it any more....mostly.

The only time size becomes evident is on the odd occasion I'm wearing something with pockets too small for it to fit into

Oh, and it has one very nifty feature for using it one handed. You can swipe from the edge of the screen to the middle and back again to make the display shrink! It reduces the whole display and puts it into one corner to enable one handed use. I thought 'gimmic' when I first heard about it, but it works beautifully.

I'm afraid I am a bit of a Note 3 fanboy

I primarily used the tablet for reading e-books, doing some light web browsing and checking Facebook. For all of you who have phablets or have owned them, how comfortable is it to read e-books on them? Is the screen size just right or too small? I'm thinking I wouldn't mind as I read plenty of books on my PRS-350. However, I wonder if phablets have more narrow screens than the 350, meaning that less text can fit on the screen.
Very personal thing.

I don't like them. The smaller I can go is iPad Mini, and it's because it's aspect ratio.

Phablets are too narrow and small for reading, in my opinion. Too big for being a phone and too small for being a tablet.
