[QUOTE=pwalker8;2821874]Brian Daley's Han Solo novels are the best, IMPO./QUOTE]

Han Solo and the Lost Legacy was the first Star Wars tie-in book I ever read. I believe I bought it at a school book fair when I was about 11-12 years old. I was hooked and sought out any and all Star Wars related reading material...

...which at that time was limited to the movie novelizations, very few tie-in novels, and the Marvel comic series.

I still enjoy re-reading the Daley Solo series every now and then.

There was another thread on SW book recommendations not too long ago.

I think Timothy Zahn's original Thrawn trilogy set a high standard that few other have met.
I also enjoyed the X-Wing series quite a lot.

My absolute favorite telling of any Star Wars story, even rivaling the experience of seeing the original movie, is Brian Daley's NPR radio play of Star Wars - A New Hope.

I re-listen to that frequently.
