Calibre reader CSS for background image help

BR, I tried setting it to Tablet and things went very strange, I was getting the correct background on alternate pages in between stretched ones...

As Dr Ohh's worked I figured it had to be in my settings so I deleted the theme and recreated it from scratch and it works OK now.

I have a couple of other Viewer quirks that you might be able to explain.
Often when I'm testing converted books in the viewer I click several pages into the book and then back to the beginning to make sure it converted OK. Quite often the book will not go all the way back to the start and it gets stuck at page 5/360 or something like that, I have to right click and click- Goto Document Start.

I keep having to adjust the window size of the viewer when it's not in full screen mode, it keeps the new size for a few days then reverts back to the default size, is there somewhere I can change the default size? Thanks.

Your spine in the opf is probably set to non linear for the first few files

I'm not familiar with the opf files. As an example, first book I tried wont go back past page 3, there's no mention of spine or linear in the OPF file, beginning of the file has:

Some epubs that I have that were originally converted from html have a background colour that overrides my background image, is there any CSS code that will stop this?

Safest way is to use the Editor and remove/comment out, the Background-color: (color name/code);
/* how to comment out in CSS */
