Hey Acid, i totally feel for you man. It stinks. We didnt do anything wrong and our Iliads are wrecked.
I submitted a ticket on the site -after about a week i posted on irex's forum and that day i got a reply from my ticket..coincidence? who knows.

Anyway - i've had to pay 120$ US to get them to even look at it - once they look at it - they'll determine how much it costs to fix.

I should be getting a box any day now to ship it off (sob)

My case is exactly the same. I have v1 from Arinc (from ebay) with 2.1. It was died on 2.9.5 upgrade. At first iRex tried to send me to flybook, but later they agreed that it is not a flybook, it is a pure iRex v1. I've paid 75 credits (105$) for their "look and estimate" and iRex sent me a transport box. They received it as I see through UPS checking about a week ago, but no further answer from them. People do not buy iLiad without warranty.
