The best information management program I've ever used is Ecco Pro, which was developed by net manage. It is available for free but is a PC based program: http://www.thoughtsonthinking.com/20...ws-xp-sp3.html

I used it for years at home, but lost it when I switched to a Mac 5 years ago.... I bought circus ponies notebook, but it's nothing like Ecco Pro.

I still use it daily at work, and highly recommend it. It's simple and elegant, yet can be configured a million ways. Lot's of people have developed templates and share them on line: for writers, lawyers, etc. I find it an astoundingly useful program.
