I ran into an interesting and timely post today in the Good Ereader blog about a UK charity QuickReads, which commissions well-known bestselling authors to write short works of fiction and non-fiction to promote adult literacy, including ESL/EFL learners. It sounds like it may be perfect for the OP's needs. Here's the link: http://goodereader.com/blog/e-book-n...erging-readers

If you follow the internal link to the QuickReads website, you'll find information about the program and how to obtain the materials. There are also several cases studies about the use of these materials in adult ESL/EFL classes.

These might be obvious tips but just in case..
Have you tried googling "learning english for Iranian / Farsi / Persian" ? There are many courses online and quite a lot of material for free on Youtube. Good luck
