I didn't know that. They are still out there on the darknet though or I suppose one could email the creator, his email's on his blog (if it's still good).

Don't eReader files normally come in a "prc" wrapper rather than a "pdb" one? Looking at the 8-character file "tag", as I suggested in an earlier message, will tell us for sure, anyway.

All the eReader files I have a PDB's, but I don't have many.

I have several e-reader books that I bought back in a different life. They're all PDB's. As far as I know Mobipockets are the only PRC's. (I could be wrong, though.)

OK, thanks - it's obviously not eReader format I had in mind, then. I recall, however, that there's at least one other eBook format (apart from Mobi) which normally uses a PRC package, which is why you just can't tell anything from the extension.
