davidfor -- the kepub bug .... I can't tap on the screen and bring up a menu ... the only way I can get out of it is to try to restart ... after a few tries, it finally "takes" and reboots ...

After that, I have no problem with the book.

I like the title displayed at the top, I like the chapter skipping .... I'm using the Touch driver ... is it better with the Extended Driver?

I set the conversion settings I wanted (no line skips between paragraphs, slightly bigger indent, etc.) ...

If I switch to the Extended Driver that converts on send, will I still get to tweak the conversion? What kind of bugs does the Extended driver have?

OK, your seeing the other way it breaks. I haven't heard of a fix or workaround.

You've pointed out a difference that I hadn't thought of.

The differences between an epub and a kepub is some extra code added to allow the kepub reading position to work properly. These are added in exactly the same way by both the extended driver and the conversion. But, I hadn't thought about the other conversion options. These will only be used by an actual conversion.

It comes down to personal preference. If there are other changes that you want and the conversion does for you, then that's the best way to do it.
