I'd never heard of the book or author, but it sounds interesting and is highly rated at Amazon.

A few more $4.99 ($4.27 Amazon) Bible bargains from Zondervan. I said earlier that Zondervan books were couponable at Kobo, but they didn't seem to be when I just tried. Maybe somebody else will have better luck, but it looks like they finally lumped them in with HarperCollins.

This is just the Easter story (starting with Palm Sunday and ending with the Ascension) from the comic book-styled The Action Bible. All of the promotional material seems to indicate that young kids are the target audience, but I'd recommend that you look through it first if that's who you're getting it for. Some of it's a little gory.

I don't know if it's a temporary sale or not, but Christianbook has a DRM-free PDF of the full The Action Bible for $6.99. It looks fantastic and is very readable on my 7" tablet. Be aware, though, that while the resulting file is DRM-free, you need to install some downloader software to download it (I had to switch from Linux to Windows to get it to work).

Not ebooks, but Dollar Tree stores in the US sell remaindered hardcover books for $1. The selection is limited and potluck, but I just picked up a copy of Zondervan's devotional Through the Year with Jimmy Carter. Since I often see the same books at different store locations, it might be worth a trip if you're a fan of devotionals or Jimmy Carter.
