After several months, My first Kindle Keyboard developed a minor screen flaw that looked like a tiny ink spot. The device didn't actually "break down," though, so I'm not sure how to respond to the poll.

The defect was annoying, but I read around it until just before the one-year warranty expired. Amazon sent me a perfect replacement, which I'm still using. I haven't had any problems with this one.

My first kindle keyboard had major screen problems just over a year old. Amazon replaced it with a refurbished that had a slight crack below a key. Still using it, but it became very slow recently. I'm trying to fix that.

No problems with any other kindles in my family.

About two years ago the power switch on my Kindle three broke down and I could no longer turn it off or on.
None. I own a K3, Two K4s and 1 PWs and they all still work. I also own the original Kindle Fire which hubby now uses and that one is a replacement due to a bad firmware upgrade killing it just a few months after I got it but the replacement is still going strong. My latest purchase is a Kindle Fire HD 2013 edition and of course it still works.

I have (or have lent out) 2 K1's, a K2, a K3, 2 KTs, KPW1, Fire 1.0, Fire HD2013. They all still work. The K2 and KPW1 replaced units that arrived with defective screens. But I only get one vote?
