David, can you send me that image as well. I made the mistake of plugging in our old Kobo Wifi into a pc that has the Kobo Desktop that decided to update my device and now it can't see any books either on the local sd or on the external. Does this involve prying the device apart? I'm not opposed to doing that just to get it working.

Which version of the WiFi? There are three. The model number should be on the end of the device. It could be N647, N647B or N289. You need the correct image to get it working.

And restoring the image does require opening the device. For instructions, see Memory Upgrade Mod Guide. It is for the Glo, but the basic steps and tools needed are the same.

It's a plain N647. I've successfully opened the device up and have the internal sd card out. I just need the image. Thank you so much!
