Right.

That's what I push the flipbar to when wanting to go forward, I mean.

Hey, after all this movement is much more consistent with the direction we're reading (from the left to the right - at least where I live). Clicking backward in order to get forward is what my brain never coud get used to, so I even mustered up the activation energy to reconfigure the default setting in my iLiad.

A nice usability feature would be a two sided display that flips the page when overturned... but then again there would be too much movement of the hands involved, so the flipbar is just fine.

Cheers,

I like the default setting, it's like reading a "real" book.
The noise of the flipbar used to annoy me, but I got used to it (or it got quieter with regular use, no idea which it is).
A flipbar on the other side would sometimes be useful, but it would probably be in the way more often than it would be useful. I'm not too fond of the "dual screen" idea, it#s so nice to have only one page to hold, makes reading while eating much easier...among other things.

Huh?

I wonder why there is such a myth about the noiseless reading. None of my reading devices has featured this so far - with the good old p-book being the loudest of them all *RUSTLE!*.

I personally don't mind a short not-too-loud click and as the big screen of the iLiad can hold SO much information, it even doesn't occur all too often...

Cheers,
