Wow. Damnit. I am sorry you are having so much trouble. I bought mine from Powells.com, but they were giving a free sleep case with it....I don't see any deals on it there, now. That really stinks. It's such a nice little reader. I hope the problem gets resolved and you get one.

If I recall correctly, and there is a chance that I don't, I remember others having trouble with the Kobo site and credit cards a few months back. It's always been a little hit or miss with the site. Luckily, I purchased a Mini and Aura HD with not that many problems and the devices themselves are good. I hope all can get theirs and enjoy the discount offered.

If you go back through the thread from when the Aura HD was first announced and available for pre-order you'll find all kinds of people who had issues. Kobo's website has had various issues since the day it was launched and continues to have issues in it's newer form, unfortunately.

For books I usually use Paypal...but it is not an option for the reader orders for some reason. Fingers crossed

RANT:

First they email me and ask me to try again using a different email address. I B!tc# at them that I already tried that last night and asked what is different between then and now. Then I saw your message and tried again using my actual account email. The first one say payment declined, so since this was further than I got before I tried a different card. Got same message, figured i typed number in wrong as i often do with that card and tried again. Same message. Then just before i try another card (only because second card has upcoming expiration date), I log in to check the other two card. They show a pending transaction for each of the three attempts. So I call to B some more and ask them to look and see how many orders i actually show - NONE. Tier 1 support tells me I have to email Tier 2 support back and tell them about the charges. Just as I click send the one card with 2 pending charges updates and they are both gone. The other card is still showing charges so I email them again. Still waiting, but am not happy. Their site is a Mess, now I am a mess - Someone PLEASE tell me the reader is not a reflection of the site and CS!!! Please

Ugh is right! I was so certain that I would be stuck at processing that I actually got up to get a drink, and when I came back was AMAZED that I had a confirmation email. I then went to look at the website and sure enough, it was on a thank you page.

Well i guess I have to wait for them to look into the one charge still pending..i'd hate to use a third card and have to.... trying not to let this get in the way of my new toy cause I really do need a new and finally told myself it was ok to buy

I just can't imagine what I'd do if/when I finally get it and if something goes wrong. I really don't want to deal with them anymore

I have no idea why Kobo refuses to like me, but i gave up as I was beginning to get upset and told them as much in my email(s)....now i have to wait to make sure all the "holds" fall off my accounts.
