Thanks for pointing it out. I installed it successfully. The restarted my kindle by turning it on and off. But it does not work. Shift+push does not invert screen, nor does contrast change with Shift+Up.
Could the kvncviewer i installed be interfering with it? |

Because the update process on FW 2/3/4 doesn't actually reboot the device, it just does a couple of runlevel switches

Update: by using the contrast hack it makes the mouse move every 0.5 seconds or so and is great! (Obviously not as great as a regular monitor's mouse speed - but it makes the solution practical and i can use the kindle DX as a monitor for everyday computing at these speeds by changing the contrast to the 1bit setting.
Hope this helps anyone searching for the same solution. Also, now im having another problem. The kindle dx keeps freezing. If anyone can help id appreciate it: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...53#post2698953 |
