Ok guys. I just did some experiment on my glo to find out if the battery life issue is solved with the 3.1.1 update.

Steps done before testing
0 - Clean up my Glo screen with alcohol wipes
1 - I do a factory reset
2 - Flash the latest 3.1.1 firmware
3 - Bootup and setup my account
4 - Disable wireless & sync option
5 - Turn my Glo to sleep mode and leave it inside my drawer without any obstruction on my Glo's screen

Battery Life
10 Feb, 0635 - 100%
10 Feb, 2345 - 87%
13 Feb, 0105 - 57%
14 Feb, 2329 - 35%
16 Feb, 2300 - 0% (Suspect it could be much earlier as i forget to check on 15 Feb)

Please note that i didn't open any books. I only disable wireless & sync option before turning it to sleep mode. There shouldn't be anything running on my glo. Just a battery life benchmark for sleep mode. I will continue to provide updates....

I've been finding my battery drains surprisingly quickly on my Glo (3.1.1) as well when it's sleeping

I can go probably almost month without having to charge it if I only read 30 minutes a day like what promos for front-lit readers advertise. For the last 2 weeks that's about all the time I've been able to manage to read per day and the battery is now at 48%. I have wifi and sync always off, the light is always on around 28% if I remember, I use a sleep cover and never actually shut it off. I'm using firmware 2.4.0.

So maybe there is a problem with the newer firmware.
