Try Moon+ Reader Pro, Byron. It supports custom fonts, there is a "publisher defaults" view, and you can selectively enable or disable certain CSS properties. It's unlikely to be a 100% perfect e-reader, but I love the plentiful display customisation options in Moon+ Pro, so when you read books in it, they don't resemble Notepad files in the slightest.
![]() I especially love the background textures in Moon+ Pro. You can load your custom ones, too. Here are a couple of screenshots: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...84#post2635184 Looks like real books, doesn't it? ![]() https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...37#post2635937 |

I've been a Kindle user since they first came out in 2007 and am heavily invested in the Kindle e-book format. I manage my library in Calibre and have stripped the DRM from all of my books so I can read them in the device and reading app of my choice.
I recently bought a Nook HD+ and was concerned that I'd have to convert Kindle books to epub and use a third party reader such as Aldiko or Moon+ but have found that the Kindle for Android app works great on my HD+ and has saved me the effort of converting them. So far, the only thing I don't like about Kindle for Android is the way it handles graphic novels. Even though it supports panel view, it's sluggish switching back and forth from panel to page view, doesn't have any sort of zoom function other than panel view, and doesn't allow me to read in landscape mode. |

As far as I know, Moon+ Reader Pro supports embedded fonts in the "publisher view" mode, but I haven't tested it, as I'm not interested in this particular feature.

I use custom fonts in Mantano. I also have custom background and font colors for day and night reading.

I also use custom fonts in montano premium. It is by far my favorite reading app.You don't need to purchase the premium version to do this..the free version will do.

Please realise custom fonts and embedded fonts is not the same thing.

I am using the following 2 free apps on my 9.7 Android tablet.
FBreader for epub, modi, txt, word and other formats. ezPDF for all the PDF because it supports voice enbeded. They both have a good support with Colordict, that is a dictionary I installed. |
