Actually, the Mobipocket edition has no ToC.

So is libprs500 autogenerating that TOC for me?

Hi PilotBob,

If you ever buy a book at Fictionwise, you have an online bookshelf with your purchases for practically forever. (I was surprised to find that a couple of e-books I bought back in 2002 were still on it.) There is a link at the bookshelf that lets you upload things in doc, rtf, text, etc. When I download my bookshelf, it shows up in a "personal content" category.

Like I said, I'm low-tech. Anything that requires more than 1 or 2 clicks is too much for me!

Good luck, and please let me know if you find an even easier way to do this.

Hmmm... I don't see it? Where is the link? Are you a club member, perhaps it is only available to club members?

Thanks,

i see that DixieGal has an eb1150 like me, so this may be the same system which they have filament books (and elsewhere) ; if so, it is specifically for eb1150, it automatically converts your personal text files to the native .imp format. if you do not have an eb1150 this format is really not of any use to you.

I think the link to 'Personal Content Server' only shows up in the www.ebookwise.com site (specifically for the EBW 1150 and only supports the .imp format).

Fictionwise.com is the parent company of ebookwise.com, but Fictionwise.com has more than just the .imp format.

To quote ZP, 'if you do not have an eb1150 this format (.imp) is really not of any use to you."

I have no idea. I can have a go at the conversion and see what result I get.

Resurrecting just to point out for all of you who are grabbing the Tor books for the reader: the mobipocket version may not convert with a ToC but it does have an advantage over the html version: when I convert with Calibre, I end up with proper page breaks for new chapters and a bigger cover page (the html version ends up converting with a tiny cover page and not proper page breaks).

I don't use the ToC so it was a no brainer for me to delete all my html--> lrf versions of the Tor books and replace with the .prc --> lrf files. Having proper new pages for new chapters really makes a difference for me.

Another update: Tor books website has a bunch (15-20) of free books now. And if you've updated your 505 firmware, the pdf versions work just fine!
