I have it running on my Glo. Very simple process as others have mentioned. Just drop the KoboRoot.tgz file into .Kobo and disconnect.

I like it, a lot. However, I wonder will it only support articles? Right now, web pages from my Pocket account don't seem to appear on the Glo. Or, am I doing something wrong? I'm new to pocket. I'd settle for a link that opened the web pages in the browser, non optimal though it may be. In a pinch, anything is better than Ziparoonie. That said, the browser looks nicer than I'd remembered with the Glo on earlier firmwares.

I noticed that, but since I am probably more green then you when it comes to pocket I thought I would wait and see if it was user error. So far I am undecided. Maybe ill try an article and see the result.

Well looks like I can store articles, Been doing some links to test. And I agree with you it is hard to ensure items are classified as just articles.. maybe that will evolve as the service goes forward.

How do you personally "POCKET" to read later?

So I have been playing around with Pocket with some mixed results. I was wondering what those of you who are using pocket do to tag/save/send articles to pocket so that they show up as articles ready to download to your Kobo Device(I imagine any device really).

Pocket shows how to use a link to save the web page you on to your pocket page, but this does not always result in an article creation you can read. It also shows you how to send an email with a link to the article, this seems to provide better results. So pocket peoples, How do you "POCKET" when you want to pocket your articles to read later?

What is the best way to ensure the link can become a useable article for that can be read on from your Pocket?

I use the browser extension. I'm unsure of what you mean by it doesn't always result in article creation you can read. If the page is text, it'll be text. If you save a image file or an image from a popular image-hosting site it will be an image. If you save a video (from YouTube for example) it will be a video.

If you think a link being saved is improperly categorized as Picture or Video when you feel it should be article, you can report the article or contact their support on twitter (@PocketSupport I believe). Pocket has a knowledge base article for getting started on Kobo here.

It's a pretty straight-forward service. Can you provide links for articles you feel are being incorrectly categorized?

This link here did not create a viable article....VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV

http://www.thestar.com/life/health_w...ur_health.html

using the email method or by using the suggested method that pocket suggested.

I just played with Jack's link from the Star. Not sure what it is classified as because on the Pocket web app it shows up under "all items" but not under "articles", "pictures", or "video". It would be nice to figure out exactly why some show up as articles and others don't. As a workaround, you can go to the web app and filter by "articles" as content type and if it doesn't show there it won't transfer to your device.

That's not a work around, it's a litmus test.... But, welcome.

Great Knowledgebase article, except for the part where it claims pocket is available now for the Glo. Not unless you sideload the tgz, it's not...

Did you try reporting it to Pocket?

"This page doesn't appear to be an article and therefore may not display well in the Article View. You may want to switch to the full web page view.

If you know there should be an article here, help improve the article parser by reporting this page. Thanks!"

Yeah; if you click on that article when saved it will direct you back to the webpage, which means their parser can't determine what the main content of the page is. Reporting articles that don't work is the best way to improve Pocket!

I find that, especially on Twitter, they're very responsive and helpful. Things might not get fixed right away (since what they're doing is not simple in the least), but I've had several sites start working within a week or two of reporting the articles.
