That list just displays the fonts that are already on the computer, plus the ones you add to it using the "Add" button.

Removing other fonts from that list is not possible; you would need to uninstall them from your system. (It would be nice if Calibre could hide fonts by ticking them and then click a "Hide" button or something; but that's nitpicking.) |

Ok, thanks. I did actually look for that folder, but it is in stealth mode or something. Now I'll have to see if I can delete installed fonts from the system....just for fun.

Yes, AppData is a hidden folder.

Go to C:\Users\<username>, and then just add \AppData at the end of the address bar in Explorer, and hit Enter. |

I thought about replacing my Helvetica to Bold.

http://www.ufonts.com/download/helve...ld/154409.html Haven't tried it yet, so I don't know how it would work. It would be nice if you could have the option of Bold or regular. I guess you could - using the Replace font option. %appdata% That's the easiest way to find it. Last edited by allowingtoo; 10-08-2013 at 02:17 PM. |

That is the folder containing the fonts that calibre ships with. The other one contains the user-installed fonts - but it will only exist/be populated if you actually did add your own fonts to calibre.

I have a question that i can't seem to find in calibre. If you have multiple versions of a document or book (Mobi, txt, AZW3) how can you ensure that the one you want is what is sent when using "Send to Kindle." Is there a way to do this? For example, I played with the information in this thread to create a new AZW3 and sent it to Kindle but when I opened the book on Kindle I discovered that the text version was sent. I had to manually copy the AZW3 (or alternatively delete the txt version so only one version was available for "Send to." Is there a way to tell Calibre to use a certain version for "Send To"?

Yes there is. I'm not on my home computer, but I believe you'll find it when you attach your device, the device icon at the top has a drop-down menu that allows you to select which formats to send to that device and in which priority order....there might be another way to get to that menu but I can't check at this time. Cheers! |

Please could you do a much fatter Droid Serif, same sort of weight as your Deja Vu Serif? It's a good font, but too light.

On Mac OS X you can find the user installed fonts for embedding in:

User>Library>Preferences>calibre>fonts The library folder may be hidden on you. If so, then click on the "Go" menu in Finder and hold down the "option" key -- the "Library" will now show up as an option. |
