If you feel like humor can be only on your side, then, what can I do? Along with the tweets, you'll need proper emoticons maybe. This one will suit you? It's yours

I really hated this Kobo exclusive by-product, the LPB (long paragraph bug). Now, believe me, it does not appear anymore when I read on my Kobo Glo v 2.8.1. thanks to Kobo Patcher v 0.7. So far so good.

After some books, I still failed to notice any alleged collateral damages (pagination problem ?) though I did spot a one liner at the bottom of a page. Nevertheless I would not deny these can exist for some particular books and/or machines and/or software versions. Just try it and make up your mind.

The main point is that, instead of being condamned to suffer and grumble, we have now a CHOICE. Furthermore, you can modify headers and footers to your taste with CSS. Whatever goes towards giving you more choice increases your freedom.

I have tried the long paragraph patch, it fixes some paragraphs but it makes others worse, so instead of losing a few lines on the page before the long paragraph I get the last line of the long paragraph on a page by itself and a missing line on the previous page, so losing a whole page.

It is hard to say whether the patch is an improvement or makes it worse overall, so far it is about even.

The patch worked great for the dozens of books I've read so far. There may be one blank line at the bottom, or none. Previously it was a large and unsightly gap. It was also a functional shortcoming, since it required more page turns.

On average, I've encountered a lot more long paragraph bug occurrences than I have orphaned lines, so for me it's definitely an improvement.

I would agree with you which is why the long paragraph bug fix is still on my Aura HD. The benefits outweigh the drawbacks.
