I spend 2 hours a day on the commuter rail and love having my kindle on the ride. I highly recommend the waterfield travel case (www.sfbags.com) When I'm not using the kindle I put it in my backpack and like moso says neither the amazon cover or the m-edge cover provide enough protection for it.
