Do you really want to mess around with Android? I have/had a PRS T1 and prefer plain linux now because of the Android overhead / background services / battery drain / crashes...
You may dig into firmware images of Android based eReaders e.g. - the Sony PRS-T1 is based on Freescale iMX508 which is the same hardware platform as Kobo uses (but maybe different EPD): http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/...e=IMX50_FAMILY Have you tried iMX Android images from Freescale?
