Look back up at my message, I made a mistake and put in lit2lrf instead of html2lrf. Now it is sorted and will work fine. Sorry about that.

From what I have seen so far, I do prefer going from LIT to LRF directly. Seems to come out better overall.

Does anyone have a theory why DRM removal tools exist for LIT and Mobipocket books, but not for the Sony LRX format?

Because there aren't a lot of books available only in the LRX format

As far as I can tell, because no one who specializes in such things has taken a crack at it. Given the lack of quality of the software, I find it almost impossible to imagine that Sony has somehow managed to come up with an uncrackable DRM format.

Does you mean that programmers who might have tackled this for personal reasons are just taking the easy route and buying books in other formats and shifting *to* the Sony instead of buying from the Sony store and liberating the books?
