Since I am not the author (and have no affiliation to him), I see no reason to post it in the "Author Self Promotions" forum. I haven't even read the book, but I visit sites about sci-fi and fantasy now and then and I've seen it positively reviewed there.

In which case, I suggest you ask Dr. Drib why he deleted it. We get lots of self-published books (KDP) here.

I have no particular authority here (or practically anywhere else) but the "Free/Bargain Science Fiction/Fantasy in July 2013" isn't set up for indie books. It's convenient, for me, as a central directory to bargain books that have been published by commercial publishers.

But there are plenty of cases where a self-published bargain gets its own thread.

You know, I think I'm off base about KDP books in this thread. They are posted in the overall "Deals, Freebies" upstream, but nothing here. My bad...

Sorry, but "no self-published books" means exactly that. You're more than welcome to post it in a separate thread, but not in this one.

In this forum yes - it's absolutely fine to post offers about self-published books in this forum (as long as you're not the author!). Just not in this particular thread.

Kobo is price matching this one (but not Howl's Moving Castle).

Theodore Sturgeon's More Than Human is on sale at Amazon (US) for $2.99

Quote:
Theodore Sturgeon’s acclaimed classic about a group of gifted misfits who discover that together they have the power to move humankind forward—or destroy it completely

Lone is a seemingly simple young man living on the street and in the woods, dim and helpless, yet effortlessly able to read the thoughts of others. His true nature won’t be revealed until the arrival of eight-year-old Janie, a telekinetic; twins Bonnie and Beanie, who can teleport easily across great distances; and Baby, an infant with a super-computer brain. Together they are the Gestalt, a single extraordinary being comprised of remarkable parts (although an essential piece may be missing). But are they the next stage in human development or harbingers of the end of civilization? It’s a question that takes on a terrifying new relevance when Gerry joins their group—for though he’s powerfully telepathic, he lacks a moral compass . . . and his hatred of the world that has rejected him could prove catastrophic.

Winner of the International Fantasy Award and considered Theodore Sturgeon’s masterpiece, More Than Human is a genre-bending wonder that explores themes of responsibility and morality, individuality, and the need to belong. Moving and suspenseful, lyrical and provocative, the novel was one of the first to elevate science fiction into the realm of literature, and inspired musicians and artists such as the Grateful Dead and Crosby, Stills and Nash.

This ebook features an illustrated biography of Theodore Sturgeon including rare images and never-before-seen documents from the University of Kansas’s Kenneth Spencer Research Library and the author’s estate, among other sources.

Looks like the The Iron Wyrm Affair by Lilith Saintcrow is currently down to $1.99 (reg price was $9.99 last time I checked). Not sure how long it'll last.

both Amazon http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005SCR94U/?tag=afbmc-20

& Kobo http://www.kobobooks.com/ebook/The-I...RprXg6CW1g&r=1

Should be US and definitely showing it in Canada.

Thanks. Not an author I've come across, but worth a punt at that price.

I was looking at this. Looks like the reviews are generally good, but some people were confused by it. Has anyone read it? I bought her Dante Valentine omnibus when it was cheap at Amazon a few months back, but haven't read it yet.
