Are you sure of that for the Kobo? The author sort should be "LN, FN" even if the displayed author is "FN LN". If there is a comma in the name, it is treated as "LN, FN". It handles multiple authors separated with an ampersand a little differently, but, I can't think how that is done at the moment.

@davidfor

You're right. I changed the field author_sort_copy_method in Calibre from 'comma' to 'copy' and there is no difference for the kobo, he always organized as LN, FN; even appearing as FN LN. Example:

Isaac Asimov
Alain De Botton
Ray Bradbury
Dan Brown
Agatha Christie

Shows like FN LN, but sort by LN, FN (Asimov, Botton, Bradbury, Brown, Christie...)

In other hand, on kindle, with the option 'author_sort_copy_method = comma' the authors are sort and appears like FN LN

Agatha Christie
Alain De Botton
Dan Brown
Isaac Asimov
Ray Bradbury

And for the titles sort remains with the same problem in both devices. The article is always ignored, unless I change the language of the book to Spanish in Calibre. But this way the dictionary doesn't work

Remembering that I have the kobo glo and Kindle 4 non-touch (2012)
