Onyx M92 - Are you happy with the Build Quality?! Possible reason for defect screens - Page 2

Mine died while was sitting ignored in my case
I had my laptop and other things next to it, in a separate compartment of my case
The ereader's original leather case and the compartment should have protected the ereader from any mechanical shocks

@Boxtoor: you mentioned that you could find out what happened with the ones you fixed, even if the owners did not say it. I see some pretty unexplainable incidents above (like mine). My suspicion is that this is a faulty component.
I looked at my screen and there is nothing wrong with it, no cracks or any sign so ...I don;t think that it is the screen. I read somewhere here in this forum that it might be a screen controller that is faulty

Update: today I had a closer look at my screen, damn!, it is CRACKED.
I have no idea how could that happen but there is an imperceptible crack across the screen . It is visible if you slightly press the screen with your fingers while strong light is cast over the surface of the screen.
I am perplexed, I can't understand how that happened since I don't remember abusing the device in any way, it sat in my bag for a long time. Apparently a hard case while it is carried is required, the leather case is just aesthetic
