A bunch of years ago, I picked up a package that included a Superman statue, a book on Superman, and a replica (on heavier paper) of the original Superman comic at B&N for about $20.

I've got a replica copy of the 1st issue around here somewhere too. There is a gold seal embossed into a corner of the cover if I recall right. He's changed a bit since the old days.

I'd go with ComiXology over Kindle, much better comics platform, especially on Android. More free books, too.
