You can go to kobobooks.com and delete the books in your library (under I'm Reading). They are still in the "purchased" section, but aren't downloaded any more.

There are a couple of ways, but, they aren't great.

You can go to the Kobo site and look at your library. In the "I'm Reading" list, selecting the books and press the delete button. This moves them to the trash. They don't get downloaded and can stay in the trash as long as you want.

You can also use the desktop app. It will download the books to its library. Then delete them there. This removes the books from the app and the "I'm Reading" list on the site. If you connect the device, the books won't be sent there and they won't be downloaded during a sync.

or, you can let them download once, then archive them, then view "only books on device"...may be annoying waiting for them to download...but its an option.

Thanks, that's what I do now as I'm not keen on the whole delete on the website option. I'd just hoped there was a setting I'd missed somewhere to stop it entirely. It's a bit frustrating as I like my device overall, but some of these little things bug me sometimes.

I agree...not calling it "delete" on the website alone would make me more comfortable with it. for example: "don't sync to device" category would be good.

Yeah, for some reason I'm scarred that someday they'll choose to actually delete the books found under delete. I'm sure it's irrational, but...

Sorry, didn't mean to derail the thread so back to discussion of the update. It's nice that they took the title out of the header on ePub's I guess, but still think making it optional would have been better. Kobo seems to be all about giving options with one hand and not giving them with the other.

Has anyone tried an ePub to see if Widows & Orphans has been fixed?

- Selecting a link to a web site in an epub will open it in the browser.

- Title no longer displayed when reading epubs.

- SD card seems to be faster when inserted or restarting with it installed.

- Opening shelf list seems to be faster.

- Sleep cover for books on SD card is fixed.

- Sideloaded kepubs on the SD card will appear on the home new screen.

I am sure there are other things, but those are what I have seen.
That looks really great! Do you know if this firmware have also new mini-games like on the Aura?

As suspected, as soon as I sync, it's dling the new firmware...I think my device's S/N must be on their first line of getting fw, cause i either get it before anyone writes about it on MR (if i by some odd chance choose to sync just as it's released) or if it's just been written about on MR and I sync, I get it immediately. Good and bad ...but hopefully I'll like this update better than 2.5.2.

I know where Richmond Hill is-.. Used to go their many times :-)

I think the Future Shop is key here; I expect updates to them and Best Buy will happen before Chapters do.
