Well, the thread is about features too, and this is a new feature.
![]() Ok, sarcasm apart, the primary intention of this thread is deciding if it's worth to upgrade. it's useful to know that, even if it's not a bug, since many people (me too) dislike the new behaviour. Relax men ^^ Last edited by Lucas Malor; 05-13-2013 at 03:25 AM. |

Finally a place to post my bug!
![]() Okay so I've updated (foolishly) to 2.5.2. Now I encountered this issue a few nights ago and every night since then. When I switch my Glo on and activate the Glo light, it won't come on. The only way it works now is if I adjust the brightness one level up and then take it one back to its original setting. Maybe I'm the only one with this issue but ... ![]() I didn't see this bug present in the previous firmware (2.5.1) so I assume its either a new bug or my Glo doesn't like me anymore. ![]() I don't REALLY want to reset back to a previous firmware because I'm absolutely annoyed at sifting through my library to reload my books [yes, I am lazy - it's a uni student thing]. So if anyone can shed light [ha ha] on this issue, let me know! ![]() EDIT: I forgot to include that I read at the lowest setting when this happens. If I test it at one up from the lowest, the light comes on.. but I'm curious to know why it won't do this on the lowest setting in this firmware like it did in the old one Last edited by ciscopixie; 05-13-2013 at 09:37 PM. A couple of things I've notice:
The long press menu on the home screen had a bug where the menu text would not display. That appears to be fixed in 2.5.2. I also had an issue with the screen flashing between updates in Solitaire. That appears to be fixed as well. This is on an Aura. Last edited by BWinmill; 05-14-2013 at 12:09 PM. Reason: Edit: clarified model. |

So, am I wrong in thinking this update isn't for the Touch?
Kobo Desktop doesn't update my Touch beyound 2.5.1. |

It is for the Touch. Kobo usually stagger the updates over a week. They have said it is by region but there might be something else as well. My Touch updated this morning, so I'm surprised yours hasn't.

Aura: "Last Sync" tile on the homescreen can't be dismissed anymore. Space under that tile is not used for further tiles. There's also unused space on the right side. Only the middle column is filled completely with tiles.
I had a problem with some books not displaying the last line properly when opened for the first time (had to page forward and back again to have it displayed correctly). This seems to be fixed. |

I think it was a different bug, as he described it.

Another Solitaire bug? Oh, wow...
But I remember I encountered the flashing in 2.5.1 and thought it was gone until I changed the light setting in 2.5.2 as I described. So I thought it might have been the same bug. Hmm... |
