I am not offering you help with Calibre. Read my posts... You can enter the information in Sigil directly in the OPF, but I will say it again... THERE IS NO SPECIAL METATAG FOR SERIES INFORMATION.

It wasn't done through the 'series' tags, but through the regular tags. My reader reads those tags and applies them as collections only if it the book is transferred via Calibre. But I don't want to use Calibre as it's not an efficient library manager which is why I came to this particular forum and why I can't understand why you kept recommending it in the first place.
Well for what it's worth is it possible for Sigil to implement this under "Add Role" or "Add Basic" in its metadata editor? |

Again, I don't recommend it. Personally I find it a very efficient e-book library manager, but that doesn't mean that everyone should use it. I was just explaining the process Calibre uses to get it done.
You can try just to add the series name as keyword tags, it just might work... I don't think so however. The only two methods I know that actually works are using either Calibre or the Sony Library software. Like I said before, it is possible that Calibre (and the Sony Library software) update the collection information directly in the database of the reader. I would not be surpised at that. If that is the case, metadata will not help at all. You could of course ask the developers of DEVONThink to add support for you. The opinion of the Sigil programmers is very clear. They will only support official metatags via the editor and that is what you can see under 'Add Role' and 'Add Basic'. Any unofficial metatags (either your own or others) must be entered by yourself in the opf file. |
