Kobo Glo: Homescreen is not showing the book I am reading

Thanks. Shall try looking again on Kobo site, but often find that UK registered Kobos are quite behind Canadian functions. For example we have only just had the ability to subscribe to our magazines with Kobo.

Home > my books > search > find a book and select it > tap the gray upper bar > if is selected the "Relevance" order, change selecting "Recent"

Now my books are shown in the recent order in the home screen.

(I've written for anyone else would have this problem in the future)

Are you sure of this?

Firstly, the last post in this thread was from November 2014. That means the firmware in discussion was probably 3.11. It's been a while since I used that firmware, but I know that what you describe didn't affect what was on the home screen at the time.

It also doesn't affect what is on the home screen with 4.7.10413. Or any other firmware I can remember. Maybe way back in the 1.9.x or early 2.x days, when there was list at the bottom under the book mosaic, it might have used a different sort order, but I doubt it was from the search. But, what you describe doesn't work for any firmware you can run on the Aura ONE that you list in your profile.

But, I'm pretty sure you will find that changing the order of the search sort will not affect the order of the books on the to line of the home screen. Mine is always set to "Relevence" and the books are listed in recently read order.

Exactly. The relevance seems to have affected only the reading's order unlocking in the home page

You misunderstand. Your post said you changed the sort order on the search results from "Relevance" to "Recent" and that changed the order of the books on the top of the home screen.

My statement is that there is absolutely no connection between these two things. The order of the books at the top of the current version of the home screen is always "Recent". Changing the sort order anywhere else in the system has no affect on this.

I've played with it to be sure. Nothing is affecting the order of the books on the home screen other than opening the actual books.
