Both fixes will be in the next calibre release.
It seems it was another problem since working for the last couple hours I can get the covers onto the SD card and they work perfectly on my Glo. Now when I look after copying over, all 3 images are there as they should be. Really don't know why it was misbehaving so much.

The books themselves aren't in the root of the card, rather they are in folders with the author names. So if it was a problem when epubs were put directly into root, it wouldn't have affected me anyway. When I kept having problems, I assumed it was the issue I'd read on MR.

I use Calibre with OSX. I've re uploaded all my epubs to my sdcard but the cover images stay low-res. Will your driver-update fix this or do I have to re upload them all over again?

With the appropriate options, the driver uploads cover images when the book is sent from calibre to the device. To replace the low resolution covers the device generated, you will have to send the books to the device again.

Thanks for your reply. When will the new driver be available, this weekend or next week?

The changes have been checked in and approved. Assuming there is a release this week, it will be in that.
