I just hope Kobo won't give me a problem with the return. The flickering is very random, it happens when it happens, the rest of the time it is fine. The two-page turns are more annoying, since they happen frequently. Planning to call Kobo Monday. I'm also thinking it might be easiest to just return this unit for a refund, then order another. I'm not that confident on Kobo's ability to effect an exchange efficiently.

OK, called up Kobo, they will return for an exchange, and I guess I'll just have to hope that goes smoothly. I think I would have preferred to return for a refund and order another device, but apparently Kobo WILL NOT ACCEPT A RETURN FOR A REFUND!

So wish me luck. They don't seem to have been doing the best job with people's orders, I hope they can actually keep track of and handle an exchange! First I need to do a factory reset, apparently, before they can even start to process the exchange, so I need to use my notes/highlights to edit a couple epubs, then I will do the reset and call 'em back.

Further, the two-page turn problem was happening about every 3 pages, which made it REALLY annoying! Oddly, that didn't happen this morning with the light off. I haven't heard anyone else talking about the two-page turn thing, so maybe that is only a defect in *my* Aura.

It's a pity, because the screen is nice, no pinholes in the glow light or anything. Hope the next will be as good.
I would return it because I would be afraid the problem would get worse, too. Thanks for the heads up about them only offering an exchange unit and not a refund.

I did the factory reset and then read with it a few days, but the glo light flicker has resurfaced. One way or another, this one is going back.
