I think this isn't a bad idea, but it's going to require a lot of pruning and tending as has been pointed out -someone will need to step up and grab posts as may be appropriate and add them to the threads and/or reference current threads as issues are discovered to be resolved or perhaps even different that originally thought. For instance, an ongoing thread that started out concerning a mysterious power drain and possible connection to certain epubs ended up demonstrating the drain had to do with a touch event starting prior to shutdown and apparently causing an ongoing power drain because IR was continued to be blocked even after power down. (Sounds counter-intuitive, but apparently the IR hardware stays powered up until the interruption is removed even while sleep mode is being entered.)

I don't think it's a good idea to move single posts... it's confusing for users and tiring for moderators. It's more simple to move the entire "Firmware xxx released!" leaving a redirect link in the main forum.

I suggested the subforum here, I hope they will create it.
