Sydney's Mom could you check one thing. Now that you've moved all your books to the trash, would you go to the page of a Kindle book you know you already own. I want to make sure it still says you've already purchased the book. It would be awful to repurchase a book because it's in the trash and you've (I've) already purchased it (especially if it was a freebee).

They don't like users having multiple accounts? Why not? I have 3. My Prime account, a 2nd account that I opened when my large archive was causing my kindle keyboard to crash, and a third account I opened for my daughter (has all kids books and her tablet on it). I don't really "need" the 2nd one anymore. But is it really a problem?

Maybe, people allegedly got permanent bans for having multiple accounts...

I don't think it's having multiple accounts that is a problem, per se. It's having multiple accounts and using one for nefarious purposes that gets them all closed.

I just tried this with a freebie kid book I picked up yesterday. I put it in the trash, it doesn't show in my list of books (Your Account > Manage Your Kindle > Your Kindle Library), and when I check on that book page it does show that I own it.

I would love to trust this enough that I could put most of my freebies in the trash and know that it wouldn't be permanently deleted someday.

The only problem is connecting. I had 2200 books. I got it down to 1800, and now it isn't working. If I clean my cashe and restart my browser, I can do 3. The next 3, it hangs up. Oh well. I will get there someday, and daffy, as I said before, I love you!

That's been the only thing that's held me back from doing this so far. I'd love to know for sure that they'll stay there in some sort of deep archive, it would effect what I "deleted" and what I didn't and if I knew I didn't have to worry about it I wouldn't have to be as careful going through and deciding what to move.

I wonder if the issue is on Amazon's side. Maybe some sort of protection is in place (Amazon said they couldn't delete you whole library). Maybe there are only so many you can move in a short time. Maybe waiting 24 hours or so will allow you to move more. (maybe...maybe...maybe... )

I just moved 12 books (my CK-12 XX Educational books) without a problem. I don't have as many books as you so I can't replicate your results (even if only temporarily).

EDIT: I was able to move about 25 more books to the trash with no problems. I'm using Chrome if that matters.

One strange thing I noticed. When I looked in the trash to confirm my books were there, I saw I had 325 items in the trash. The items included paper books, physical CD's and items I have never owned. For instance the "Ender's Game" Box set. I own that series as audiobooks from Audible and not in paper. I don't understand how the other items ended up in the trash.

I've got this one. I was going along, and noticed I had a lot of piano books going into the trash. I couldn't remember buying digital piano books. I went up top, and the choice had gone from kindle back to my collection. It did it all by itself. I discovered that again, when I was throwing My Vida Loca in the trash.

The problem was Amazon's. About an hour ago, everything opened up. I still had to switch between Chrome and IE, though. But then I realized it was 4 specific books that were hanging it up. But that wasn't problem because . . .



I have 184 books in my library! And best of all, I have it all - they are gone, as far as my manage my kindle page, but they aren't permanently gone! My apps are next!!!
