If you do want to buy anything for her, the easiest way to do it is to use your account to buy an Amazon gift certificate, and apply that certificate to her account.

If I were you, even though you have the immediate problem taken care of, I'd check into your Grandmother's bank to see if they have debit cards available (they probably do), and get her signed up for one now, even if she lets it sit in a drawer 99% of the time. She doesn't have to use it, but when another problem comes up like this, she'll have it.
And she might find she likes it for shopping rather than carrying checks or cash around. |
