I'm not going to share my credit card number, of course. But I am going use VisaBuxx to set up a limited value debit card. This card would have about $5 on it, which is okay because it is only there to satisfy Amazon. The Kindle ebooks will be paid for with gift cards.

I used this program about three years ago, and don't remember what the fees were. My bank is a member of this program, so they should be minimal.

P.S. If anyone wants to try it, the address is www.visabuxx.com. It might take me as much as a week to get the new card number.
I started to get a card, and stopped just before the process was complete. The total charge fro setting it up was $17.50. That is more than I want to spend to fix a problem I don't have. but if someone wants to take the risk, I will assist.

No, you have to use your legitimate billing address.

No, you use your paypal account info, but if you are just purchasing e-books from Amazon, you could use a Paypal generated card for your purchase. Amazon doesn't care what your address is and since you are using Paypal, you don't provide shipping info anyway. So that would work for buying Amazon e-books, then transferring the book to your computer and downloading directly to your Kindle. However, you do need a valid registered Kindle account in order to buy books I believe, so if you have a registered Kindle, then you could buy ebooks with a Paypal registered card.
Help! I feel my head spinning!!! LOL

I think Spirits meant "fuzzy" feeling But then, maybe not!

Books can only be downloaded to your registered Kindle or your computer, but you have to have a registered Kindle in order to buy. I tried to buy a few books before my Kindle was shipped but Amazon wouldn't let me download to my computer until after the unit was registered.
Bottom line, you need a registered Kindle in order to purchase in the Kindle store.
