twobob had problems with the firmware version on his K5 deleting the sshd (dropbear) files.
(or maybe it was being deleted from "main" rather than "diags" - I forget the details - look up his post here)

He found and posted a patch to the startup scripting to stop that behavior.

Perhaps you have also run into the same problem.

The more recent diags version (found on most devices shipped with 5.1 and newer) is indeed finicky, but flashing ixtab's *diags* dump via dd or fastboot pretty much renders this point moot .

So yeah, besides a: if you flashed ixtab's diags dump correctly, it should work, I can't really say much more, I try to stay as far way from diags as possible .
