That's interesting that some of you also had ones come without manuals and also not registered. Who knows, maybe this is a new one. It's certainly possible. Either way it's much worse than the current PW I have. Frankly I wouldn't even care if it was a refurb if it didn't have the defects.

Thanks xendula. I'm pretty disappointed. While I knew I wouldn't get one without color hues, I was hoping they hues wouldn't be worse and that it wouldn't have specks, but unfortunately that's not the case. This one also has weird dark swirling lines in a couple places too. Someone else had this issue too.

As far as having 30 days from the replacement, she was absolutely adamant that was not their policy. That the 30 days was from the original purchase date. She gave the reason of saying "the original is the one with the charge on it so it's 30 days from that date". I told her but I don't have that original anymore, I returned it, and now have a replacement. She still stuck by it. Nuts. We went back and forth on it as I told her that was ridiculously unfair. She just apologized and said, I'm sorry but that is our policy. Regardless of what she said, I frankly find it very hard to believe they would really enforce it if you talk to the right people.

I did look on Amazon's site for their replacement policies and I couldn't find anything that covered that scenario. I'm not too worried, either way. I'd seriously raise hell if they gave me a problem returning it past the 30 days of the original should I ever be in that position. I think this is a case of it depends on who you talk to.

Oh, I forgot to mention. When she mentioned sending me another replacement she said "I can pretty much guarantee you this next one won't have those issues."

Haha. Sounds familiar. I told her that's what the previous CS rep said when they sent the mess I'm holding now.

That's exactly what I said to CS. I said this one wasn't registered to me and didn't have a guide with, so it makes me suspicious that it's a refurb. She said "let me check and make sure it's new" then she said "I can confirm it is a new unit". She also said they didn't have any refurb PW's. I felt like saying then why did you just check if mine is new, but I didn't bother. It's maddening talking to CS about the PW's.

Can you tell your expectations have gone down down down.... really sad, but who can blame you!
I agree, it's like when they told me the PWs were all back-ordered and I'd have to wait 2 weeks, with the tenth rep telling me that I could get the device within 2 days. I am gettng nervous about this regardless, with three devices that need to be replaced and Amazon Andrew telling me to hold off on any action.

I don't blame you. I wouldn't be comfortable either. Did Andrew tell you all of this on the phone? About holding on to the replacements until he gave you further notice? Maybe you should have Andrew email you that he said that so you have that in writing. I only worry what might happen if you don't hear back from Andrew. It might be complicated to explain all of this to another CS rep.

Well now its dark I do see light pink on left top corner and pink in the bottom right the dark blotches now appear green these colors are a lot lighter then my
other two PWhites.

It's crazy how much it varies between devices. All of mine have looked very different, right down to how bright the light is on all of them. The color hues are much more noticeable on my replacement of today, particularly the blue/green at the top. So at least my replacement was good for something in that it has made the one I'm currently using look pretty damn good.

And another thing that varies is the font contrast, though that may be due to the differing max brightness levels between devices.
